Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA is seeking a Sr Inspector A&P to perform quality-control inspections on aircraft and components, ensuring airworthiness and proper documentation. The role requires an A&P license and extensive aviation maintenance experience, including Gulfstream exposure.

You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection requirements, maintain thorough records, mentor technicians, and participate in audits to ensure compliance with FAA/CAA data and standards.

Qualifications

• 8 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) to include 2 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience and 2 years of aircraft inspection experience.
• A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
• Strong knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures and FAA/CAA documentation requirements.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics and QC procedures.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work from ladders and heights, occasional confined-space work, and strong computer skills.

• Ensures aircraft/components are airworthy prior to any flight activities.
• Mentors technicians on effective documentation.
• Communicates with management as required to identify work assignments and delivery schedules.

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 8 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) to include 2 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience and 2 years of aircraft inspection experience. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.

Position Purpose:

Performs inspections of aircraft, aircraft components, and reviews paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality, and that aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required. documentation properly completed and filed. Works as an integral part of the Quality Control/Assurance team assuring aircraft/components are in compliance to FAA/CAA requirements.

2. Provides technical support to inspection personnel in supporting the FAA and/or CAA documented requirements .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

1. Strong computer skills.
2. Knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
3. Knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials.
4. Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics and QC Procedures.
5. Working knowledge and application of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control systems and methodologies.
6. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
