The compensation range for this role is $34.77 - $40.57 per hour.

Final compensation will be determined by factors including qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

Qualifications include:

  • 10 years of paint experience preferred
  • Knowledge of electrostatic paint application
  • Ability to interpret Exterior Marking Drawings
  • Knowledge of silk screen application
  • Customer interaction during stripe layout and inspections
  • Full knowledge of paint processes and related documents preferred
  • Ability to locate, print, and complete Paint travelers
  • Collaboration with Engineering and Quality Control to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Leadership in mentoring and training
  • Strong communication skills
  • Participation in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Understanding of schedules, labor, and certification requirements
  • Proficiency in ordering parts and maintaining traceability documents

Educational and experience requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10 years of extensive experience in manufacturing or service centers
  • FAA A&P license or ability to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days

Position Purpose: Technical expert performing precise repairs and working independently within a team environment.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform manufacturing, assembly, and installation procedures accurately and efficiently.
  2. Troubleshoot tooling, production, and aircraft systems to improve quality and efficiency.
  3. Assist in planning and tooling optimization.
  4. Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Control to resolve issues.
  5. Develop and manage employee skills development programs.
  6. Identify and implement training needs.
  7. Support Lean manufacturing initiatives.

Additional Functions:

  1. Perform tasks during absences of team leads or mechanics.
  2. Follow standard operating procedures and complete documentation.
  3. Adhere to safety and housekeeping policies; protect aircraft interiors.
  4. Assist in training subordinates.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Other requirements include:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing procedures, safety, tooling, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with CATIA V5 and Solumina software.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with machinery and tools listed.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work any shift.
  • Fluency in English.
