Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years cabinetmaking experience
  • Knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications (preferred)
  • Experience in aerospace industry (preferred)

Position Purpose: Fabricates aircraft furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies following aircraft specifications, drawings, and engineering documents, with emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity. Assists team members to enhance techniques supporting quality workmanship.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Fabricates furniture and subassemblies using blueprints and specifications.
  • Assembles, pins, glues cabinet shells, installs hardware, and applies surface materials.
  • Uses power tools for fabrication and disassembly.
  • Follows safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; uses PPE.
  • Tracks parts, manages work sign-offs.

Additional Functions

  • Collaborates with leads and technicians on process improvements using Lean Six Sigma.

Other duties as assigned. Other requirements include:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Basic cabinetmaking knowledge.
