Education and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years in related paint processes; aircraft industry experience preferred; valid driver's license required.

Position Purpose: The Aircraft Painter II works under minimal supervision to safely prepare, paint, and detail aircraft according to schedule using company quality standards and operating procedures.

Job Description:

• Safely perform aircraft preparation, painting, and detailing under minimal supervision. Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with paperwork, sign-offs, and quality standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as sanders, lift platforms, and paint sprayers. Properly maintain tools and equipment.
• Use sealants, paint strippers, and corrosion-preventive chemicals following safety procedures and using protective equipment.
• Adhere to safety rules, address unsafe conditions proactively.
• Utilize material tracking systems for parts demand, squawk tracking, and work sign-off.
• Assist with aircraft movement in hangars.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Ability to use tools and equipment related to aircraft painting.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
• Pass Pulmonary Function Test for respirator certification.
• Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in small areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
• Computer literate.
• Knowledge of paint processes and products (lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, acrylics).
