Qualifications

• Graduate of a NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
• Current license as Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers is required.
• Specific certifications as required (PALS, ACLS, NRP).

Responsabilités

• Performs diagnostic testing procedures and arterial gases; oversees equipment.
• Administers medications timely and evaluates progress according to protocol.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates with physicians and nurses.
• Documents per departmental standards and manages supplies.
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
• Promotes the profession and mentors staff within the department.
• May float to other departments as needed.
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
