Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide skilled care, using NBRC-certified credentials. The successful candidate will hold an active state license and an RRT credential, with ABG endorsement if applicable.

You will assess patients, develop and implement plans of care, administer medications, provide education to patients and families, and act as a clinical resource for the team while pursuing lifelong learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice respiratory care.
• RRT credential from NBRC is required.
• ABG endorsement is preferred where applicable.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient.
• Develop the plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care.
• Evaluate the plan of care.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide patient, family, and/or significant other education.
• Participate in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
• Communicate/collaborate with others in providing patient care.
• Provide clinical leadership.
• Support lifelong learning.
• Complete assigned goals.
