Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation in Georgia seeks a Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessments, administer therapies, and monitor compliance with prescribed pulmonary and sleep therapy plans.

You will conduct six-minute walk tests, Body Box, Niox tests, overnight oximetry, and oxygen orders, document results in the EMR, calibrate equipment, and collaborate with clinicians to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• Previous working experience in respiratory care or orientation with competencies required.
• RRT and BCLS certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Timely completion of prescribed testing and/or therapies.
• Patient education.
• Medication administration.
• Accurate documentation in electronic medical record.
• Calibration and maintenance of equipment.
• Serves as a resource for other clinical staff.

PULMONARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Six-minute walk testing.
• Body Box testing.
• Niox testing.
• Overnight oximetry testing.
• Oxygen orders.
• Assist provider with any necessary oxygen/ pulmonary testing requested.
• In-basket management.
• O2 CMN management.
• Patient call management.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
