Baptist Health System, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat and monitor patients with respiratory conditions. You will deliver therapies and provide ventilator support as ordered, while contributing to department operations and quality improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a degree from an accredited program, a Kentucky license, and NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT). This is a full-time role with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a 6:00a–6:00p shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Current Kentucky Respiratory Care license required.
• RRT or CRT NBRC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and monitor patients with respiratory diseases as ordered.
• Deliver medicated and non-medicated therapy per provider orders.
• Provide invasive and non-invasive ventilator support for respiratory failure.
• Perform diagnostic respiratory test procedures as part of patient care.
• Assist in department operations, quality improvement, and equipment management.

Job Description:

The respiratory therapist assesses, treats, and monitors patients with respiratory diseases and conditions. This includes the delivery of medicated and non-medicated therapy as ordered by the provider. Additionally, therapists provide invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilator support for acute respiratory failure. As part of patient assessment and management, the therapist performs diagnostic test procedures. In addition, therapist assists in departmental operations by addicting with quality improvement projects, equipment, and supplies. The certified therapist follows all applicable rules and regulations established by the licensure board depending on the state in which respiratory therapy is practiced.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program required.
• Current Kentucky Respiratory Care license required.
• Registered Respiratory therapist (RRT) OR Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy preferred.
