Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington in Washington, Missouri is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time night shift. You will provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care to patients across acute care settings.

The role requires Missouri licensure, NBRC CRT/RRT credentials, current BLS/CPR, and graduation from an accredited program. You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, educate families, document care, and support emergency

• Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• CRT or RRT credential through NBRC.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory disorders.
• Administer respiratory treatments, therapies, and medications according to physician orders.
• Manage oxygen therapy and airway support interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and recommend adjustments as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and equipment usage.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
• Support emergency respiratory care and critical patient interventions when needed.

Minimum QualificationsRequired:

• Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

• Current BLS/CPR Certification

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

Preferred:

• Previous acute care, hospital, ICU, emergency department, or critical care experience

• Strong communication and patient education skills
