Job summary

HYRE HARPER Co. seeks experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) for a 1+ year W2 contract with the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. The role involves delivering advanced respiratory care in inpatient settings and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements include NBRC licensure, AHA ACLS, and a minimum of 3 years in acute care. Expect 40-hour weeks with varied shifts and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• NBRC-credentialed Registered Respiratory Therapist with active license.
• ACLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Familiarity with mechanical ventilators, ABG analysis, and EMR (VISTA preferred).

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments (bronchodilators, steroids, nebulizers, IPPB).
• Perform intubations and assist with bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, chest tubes.
• Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP machines.
• Conduct ABG analysis and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment use.
• Perform PFTs, spirometry, and respond to codes.
• Document assessments and treatments in the VISTA system.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to implement plans.
