About The Position

MedBridge Healthcare is seeking an experienced RPSGT to work PRN at Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates at Sleep Diagnostic Center in Reston, VA. This position provides sleep services on an as-needed basis during daytime hours. Competitive hourly rates are available, depending on experience and patient ratio.

MedBridge is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy. We partner with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive, fully integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care management of sleep disorders.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Facilitating tests and collecting data
  2. Preparing equipment, recording activities, and analyzing results
  3. Following proper polysomnographic procedures, including the use of electrodes, sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks
  4. Analyzing (scoring) clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulating final data for review
  5. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and laws
Job Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as an RPSGT or as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required
Physical Demands:

The physical demands include:

  1. Regularly standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing; vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and focus adjustment
  2. Using hands to operate office equipment
  3. Lifting up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
