The Lead Assembler is responsible for overseeing a team of assemblers in the production process, ensuring that products are assembled efficiently and to high-quality standards. This role involves coordinating daily operations, training new team members, managing workflow, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during assembly. The Lead Assembler acts as a liaison between management and assembly staff, promoting a safe and productive work environment while monitoring performance and providing feedback.

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the assembly team to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Train new assemblers on assembly techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues; implement solutions to maintain production timelines.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with management to report on production progress and suggest improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, tools, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and assembly issues.
  • Experience with software platforms such as Slack and Shipstation.
  • Bi-lingual English/Vietnamese.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, relevant vocational training a plus.
  • Proven experience in assembly or manufacturing, with a minimum of 2-5 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
