Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking an experienced RPG programmer to maintain and enhance the Vital Statistics System and related RPG applications on the IBM AS400 platform. The role requires hands-on development, production support, and collaboration with business stakeholders across legacy systems.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of RPG experience, strong system analysis skills, and proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Alabama merit system eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of verifiable RPG programming experience.
• RPG experience must include work performed within the last 12-15 years.
• Strong hands-on experience with the IBM AS400 platform.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications.
• Strong systems analysis and design experience.
• Application development and maintenance experience.
• Production support, troubleshooting, and debugging experience.
• Testing and quality assurance experience.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be eligible for Alabama State Merit System employment.
