Job summary

Programmers.io is seeking an experienced Senior RPG Software Developer to join our in-house technology team. You will design, develop, maintain, and support business-critical RPG applications on IBM i (AS/400).

The role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem solving, and collaboration with business and IT stakeholders in an on-site environment. You will work with legacy RPG systems and modern RPG codebases, analyze requirements, and drive system modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience developing RPG applications on IBM i
• Strong experience with RPG IV / ILE RPG, CL, and DB2 for i
• Experience supporting Accounts Receivable finance programs preferred
• Proven track record of modernizing legacy RPG codebases
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work onsite in a team environment
• Must be willing and able to work 100% onsite
