Job summary

Programmers.io seeks an RPG Developer with Infor XA expertise to support manufacturing and distribution processes remotely. You will work with Infor XA, IDF, and RPG/RPGLE/CL to tailor modules and workflows, diagnose issues, and implement enhancements.

You'll partner with business users, perform testing, and document solutions while maintaining data integrity on IBM i with DB2. Remote role with potential for cross‑region collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with Infor XA ERP systems supporting manufacturing and distribution processes.
• Hands-on IDF development, customization, and enhancements for Infor XA applications.
• Knowledge of Infor XA modules: Inventory, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Order Mgmt, Production Control.
• Ability to translate functional requirements into Infor XA technical solutions.
• Experience with IBM i (AS/400), DB2 databases and related tools.
• Knowledge of RPG, RPGLE, CL, and SQL in an ERP context.
• Experience in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize IDF applications, screens, business objects, and workflows.
• Collaborate with functional teams to resolve ERP issues and implement enhancements.
• Participate in system testing, UAT, and deployment activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and ensure data integrity and system performance.
• Provide production support and incident management as needed.

Job Description

• Experience working with Infor XA (MAPICS) ERP systems, supporting manufacturing and distribution business processes.
• Hands-on experience with Infor Development Framework (IDF) for application development, customization, and enhancements.
• Knowledge of Infor XA modules, including Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Order Management, and Production Control.
• Experience developing and customizing IDF applications, screens, business objects, and workflows based on business requirements.
• Ability to analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the Infor XA environment.
• Experience with IBM i (AS/400), DB2 databases, and related development tools.
• Knowledge of RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL, and database queries is an advantage.
• Perform application troubleshooting, debugging, root-cause analysis, and production support.
• Work with functional teams, business users, and stakeholders to resolve ERP issues and implement enhancements.
• Participate in system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, support existing applications, and ensure system performance and data integrity.
