Description
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer to design, develop, maintain, and modernize enterprise automation solutions within a Federal Client environment.

The successful candidate must have hands-on UiPath development experience combined with demonstrated Microsoft Power Platform experience, particularly Microsoft Power Automate. This combination is a critical qualification for the position. The role will support existing UiPath automations while helping transition, reengineer, and develop automation solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate practical experience building and supporting production automations—not simply familiarity with the platforms.

Key Responsibilities
RPA Development and Modernization
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot UiPath robotic process automation solutions.
  • Develop and enhance Microsoft Power Automate cloud flows and desktop flows, including attended and unattended automation solutions.
  • Support migration and reengineering of existing UiPath automations into Microsoft Power Automate and the broader Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Assess existing automation workflows, dependencies, integrations, credentials, exception handling, and operational requirements to support modernization.
  • Develop assigned automation workflows and RPA solution components under the direction of the Senior Developer and incumbent team members, following IBS architecture standards.
  • Maintain existing UiPath automations during the transition to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Develop reusable automation components and support process optimization and continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance and Automation Testing
  • Execute test scripts for assigned automation components, documenting results in the IBS test tracking system.
  • Identify, document, and elevate defects through the established review and resolution process.
  • Support unit, integration, regression, user acceptance, and performance testing for automation solutions.
  • Validate automation outputs, business rules, data accuracy, and expected system functionality.
  • Assist with troubleshooting automation failures, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions under senior team guidance.
  • Support preparation and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions and post-deployment validation activities.
Production Monitoring and Support
  • Monitor daily automation job queues, production bot execution logs, and workflow performance.
  • Identify and report processing exceptions, failed transactions, and automation errors to senior team members for triage.
  • Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting deployed UiPath and Power Automate solutions.
  • Support ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and performance optimization of production automations.
  • Identify recurring automation issues and recommend improvements to the Senior Developer.
  • Support continuity of automation operations across NASA enterprise platforms.
Documentation and Process Improvement
  • Integrate automation solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, databases, APIs, and approved enterprise applications.
  • Support automation workflows involving enterprise data extraction, transformation, loading, and processing.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation activities associated with automated ETL processes integrated with NASA enterprise platforms.
  • Assist with configuring and supporting Power Platform connections, gateways, service accounts, credentials, and solution packages in coordination with technical teams.
  • Verify the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data processed through automated workflows.
  • Create and maintain workflow diagrams, Process Definition Documents (PDDs), Solution Design Documents (SDDs), and technical documentation.
  • Maintain test case libraries, test execution results, deployment guides, and operational support procedures for assigned automation assets.
  • Document automation defects, production exceptions, corrective actions, and enhancement recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing materials for IBS stakeholder demonstrations, UAT sessions, and post-deployment reviews as directed by the IAS Team Lead.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring production issues and recommending opportunities to improve automation reliability and efficiency.
Agile Development and Team Collaboration
  • Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Complete assigned development, testing, and support activities within established sprint timelines under team lead oversight.
  • Collaborate with Senior Developers, Business Analysts, Process Owners, NASA stakeholders, and technical teams to support automation requirements and implementation.
  • Follow established configuration management, source control, release management, SDLC, Agile, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Participate in peer reviews, technical discussions, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support stakeholder demonstrations, technical reviews, and user training activities as assigned.

Disclaimer "The responsibilities and duties outlined in this job description are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this role. However, they are not exhaustive and may be subject to change or modification at any time to meet the evolving needs of the organization."
