(RP) Senior Fellow - Manufacturing Engineer
  • Full-time

North Star Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Fellow in Manufacturing Engineering to work for our client in Hartford, CT. The ideal candidate will:

  • Help resolve top technical issues and work with the senior team to assess discipline capability.
  • Lead talent and technology development strategies for the discipline.
  • Develop Manufacturing Standard Work and System Tools to support Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Influence factory design, supplier selection, and leverage technology to achieve operational goals such as product cost, quality, and performance.
  • Possibly hold an organizational position with additional responsibilities.

**Experience:**

  • 15+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably with aerospace gas turbine engines or related fields.
  • Expertise in raw material processes, machining (conventional and non-conventional), special processes, inspection, automation, additive manufacturing, and related areas.
  • Experience with statistical process control, lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and cost reduction.
  • Proven leadership in solving manufacturing issues and mentoring teams.
  • Experience in developing and implementing standard processes.

**Education:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related; or Master's/PhD in Manufacturing or related fields.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution systems, standard work, and skills development.
  • Familiarity with PPAP and process certification.
