Job summary

Elan Partners in North Dallas is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead royalty and contractual accounting, reporting, forecasting, and related analyses. The role is hybrid, offering substantial cross-functional exposure and opportunities to mentor peers.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in accounting within inventory-based or transactional environments, plus strong Excel and ERP systems experience. CPA/CMA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with royalty accounting, contractual accounting, or similar complex payment/reporting structures.
• Audit experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Ability to lead initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills.
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Proficient with Excel; Power BI experience preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and reporting activities for royalty and contractual obligations.
• Review terms, rates, and payment structures for accurate reporting.
• Analyze sales, revenue, costs, and royalties for reporting.
• Prepare quarterly royalty reporting and align with contracts.
• Maintain royalty and contract financial data and updates.
• Prepare royalty, inventory, and management reports.
• Reconcile royalty payments to sales data and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end close and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with inventory, operations, and other departments.
• Lead ERP, systems implementations, and process improvements.
• Mentor accounting team members and share knowledge.
• Present accounting topics in meetings.
