About The Role

Come join the First Community Bank team! This is a Temporary Summerroving teller position based out of our Layton Main branch, working as needed at branch locations in the Northern Utah area, including Layton, Brigham City, South Ogden, Clearfield, Mountain Green, Morgan, Bountiful, Park City.

This position is the ‘frontline’ of the bank and plays a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction in the day-to-day processes at the branch. Prior cash handling experience and excellent customer service skills are preferred for this position as well as applicant being comfortable making dozens of transactions daily, and communicating with various customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct customer’s financial transactions within time limits and established guidelines (deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, sales of official checks & money orders, and other duties as assigned)
  • Balance accurately and maintains cash limits of his/her drawer on a daily basis
  • Take an active role in branch programs by greeting all customers, learning their names and meeting their banking needs by introducing new products and services (credit cards, savings bonds, etc.)
  • Go the ‘extra mile’ to build trust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction
  • Comply with regulatory requirements
  • Manage risk in every transaction and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent loss
  • Resolve customer issues and provide relevantassistance

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years Teller experience in JHA Xperience required
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Customer satisfaction - Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of job
  • Basic PC knowledge
  • Attention to detail and mathematical skills
  • Must have reliable transportation

First Community Bank of Utah will conduct a credit and background screening as a part of the pre-hire process.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: sit; use hands in repetitive motions to finger, grasp, handle or feel; and talk or hear. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include:Required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
