Job summary

HT Protective Services, LLC in Washington DC is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer for an upscale apartment and retail community. This full-time roving role offers shifts from 3 pm–11 pm and 11 pm–7 am, with weekend work required.

You will patrol, monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and prepare daily activity reports to keep the site safe. Applicants must pass a drug test, have a DC Security Officer License, reliable transportation, and be able to walk extensively in all weather.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate surveillance equipment and monitor premises.
• Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures.
• Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the premises and maintain high visibility.
• Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized personnel access.
• Remove trespassers when necessary.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and respond to suspicious activity.
• Report daily activities and any security incidents.
• Uphold property rules and regulations.
• Observe and report activities at the site.
• Respond quickly to critical situations.
• Walk roving posts and cover multiple areas including retail and parking facilities.
