North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts seeks a qualified Official Court Reporter to record and transcribe verbatim court proceedings in Superior Court. The roving reporter covers Burke County and surrounding areas, with standard travel reimbursement and transcripts paid in addition to base salary.

You will record trials and hearings by stenotype or voice-writing, transcribe, proofread, and certify transcripts, ensuring accuracy for appeals and orders.

Qualificações

• Certification from a recognized court reporting body (RPR or CVR) or completion of an approved court reporting program with substantial experience.
• Minimum education/experience as required by NC judiciary for official reporters; strong dictation and transcription skills.
• Knowledge of court rules, terminology, and transcript formats; ability to produce accurate verbatim records.

Responsabilidades

• Record court proceedings by stenotype or voice-writing methods.
• Transcribe proceedings into accurate transcripts for appeals or orders.
• Proofread, edit, and certify transcripts; maintain organized records and notes.
• Submit reports and transcripts to court reporting manager in a timely manner.
