Job summary

Beanstalk seeks a Roving Associate Teacher to fill in across Sacramento-area centers. The role supervises and instructs children in preschool and childcare environments, traveling as needed to Beanstalk locations.

Position is full-time with varied locations. Requires basic ECE education units, a valid California Associate Teacher permit, 12 months of related experience, and CPR/First Aid with Health & Safety training to ensure safe, quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: 12 core units of early childhood education (ECE) or child development studies.
• Current Associate Teacher Child Development Permit issued by California Teacher Credentialing.
• Minimum of 12 months experience in an ECE or school age center setting.
• Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and Pediatric First Aid plus Health and Safety in child care setting course.

Responsibilities

• Fills in during the absence of center staff or as needed. Supervises and instructs children in preschool and/or childcare programs.
• Oversees an Instructional Assistant and cares for children in a group as assigned.
• Works with children ages 2–3 and travels to Beanstalk centers in the Sacramento area.

Salary Range: $23.79 To $29.56 Hourly

ROVING TEACHER- Full-Time Position

Location: Varies – Assigned based upon program needs

Salary (Pay depends on experience and permit held):

Teacher: $26.25 to $29.56/hr. (approximately $54,600 to $61,480 annually)*

Associate Teacher:$23.79 - $26.79 per hour (approximately $49,487 - $55,723 annually)*

*Starting pay for this position is the beginning of the pay range.

Definition:

Fills in during the absence of center staff or as additional staff when there is a need or as assigned. Supervises and instructs children enrolled in preschool and/or childcare programs. Is responsible for the supervision of an Instructional Assistant and care of children in a group as assigned. The position includes working with children ages 2-3 and travel to Beanstalk centers in the Sacramento area.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:Minimum Requirement: 12 core units of early childhood education (ECE) or child development (child/human growth & development, child/family/community or child and family relations and program and curriculum).
• Credential: Minimum Requirement: Current Associate Teacher Child Development Permit, issued by California Teacher Credentialing
• Experience: Minimum Requirement: 12 months in an ECE or school age center setting.
• Certification: Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and Pediatric First Aid as well as Health and Safety in the child care setting course.

Other Requirements:

• Must have a Clean Motor Vehicle Record, a valid CA Driver License, Registered and Insured Vehicle.
• Fingerprint and criminal clearances required.
• Pre-employment physical, TB clearance, current measles and pertussis vaccines required.
