Roving Apartment Maintenance Technician (Lawrence, KS)

Responsibilities

• Travel to different properties for maintenance and repairs
• Handle tasks like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, doors, flooring, landscaping, and more
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to ensure smooth operations
• Prepare units for new residents and maintain existing ones
• Occasionally be on-call (~every other week)
• Maintain maintenance logs and support snow removal during winter

Benefits

• Pay: $20 - $30/hour depending on experience
• Monthly occupancy bonuses: Up to ~$450 (typically $200-$300)
• Tool reimbursement: $10 per paycheck ($260/year)

Qualifications

• General maintenance skills: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, painting, appliance repair
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Computer skills: typing, spelling, using tablets for work orders and communication
• EPA certification preferred or willingness to obtain (exam fee reimbursement available)
• HVAC certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to lift, shovel, plow snow, and travel between multiple properties
