Job summary

Westport Properties, Inc. is seeking dependable Maintenance Technicians to join our roving Maintenance Team. You will travel between properties to perform preventive and on-demand repairs, covering HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, painting and appliances.

You will work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to ensure homes are safe, clean, and ready for residents. The role includes on-call shifts and logs maintenance activities while supporting winter snow removal.

Qualifications

• General maintenance skills across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, painting and appliance repair.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Able to use tablets for work orders and communication, basic typing/spelling.
• EPA certification preferred or willing to obtain (exam fee reimbursement).
• HVAC certification preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Travel between properties to handle maintenance and repairs.
• Fix HVAC, plumbing, electrical, doors, flooring, landscaping, and related issues.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to keep operations smooth.
• Prep units for new residents and perform ongoing upkeep on existing units.
• Occasionally stay on-call ~every other week and assist with snow removal.
• Maintain maintenance logs and support winter snow removal efforts.

Westport Properties is looking for dependable, skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Roving Maintenance Team. If you know your way around tools and systems like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, or landscaping — we want to meet you!

You’ll travel between our properties to make sure homes are safe, clean, and ready for our residents. Every day is different, and you’ll be part of a team that values hard work, respect, and real-world skills.

What You’ll Do

• Travel to different properties to handle maintenance and repairs
• Tackle jobs like fixing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, doors, flooring, landscaping, and more
• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to keep everything running smoothly
• Help prep units for new residents and handle regular upkeep for existing ones
• Stay on-call occasionally (~every other week)
• Keep maintenance logs and support snow removal during the winter months

What You’ll Get

• Pay: $25 - $32/hour based on experience
• Monthly bonuses based on occupancy: Up to ~$450 (normally around $200-$300)
• Tool reimbursement: $10 per paycheck ($260/year)

What We’re Looking For

• General maintenance skills: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, painting, appliance repair
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Computer knowledge (typing, spelling, able to use tablets for work orders and communication)
• EPA certification preferred or willing to obtain. (Exam fee reimbursement available.)
• HVAC certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Able to lift, shovel and/or plow snow, and get around multiple properties
