Job summary

Total Aerospace Services seeks a Roving A&P Mechanic to maintain our client’s aircraft and support life-saving air ambulance missions. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on field maintenance across multiple bases.

You will perform inspections, manage parts, log RAMCO entries, and collaborate with Lead Mechanics to ensure FAA-compliant work while traveling frequently and covering night shifts as needed. This is a meaningful, mission-driven position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified mechanic.
• Willingness to travel frequently with short notice.
• Ability to pass a pre-placement physical exam, drug screening, and background check.
• Sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to work night shifts as maintenance events require.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily maintenance and inspection requirements to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
• Inform Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule changes or additional technical assistance.
• Manage maintenance at field bases, overseeing stock levels and securing necessary spares.
• Ensure safety and security of all company assets at field bases.
• Prepare reports, requisitions, and certify compliance with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards.
• Log maintenance details in RAMCO and communicate with Lead Mechanic and stakeholders.
• Manage parts inventory and suggest inventory-level changes as necessary.
• Maintain special tools and ensure timely calibration.
• Perform additional duties to support the company’s mission.
