Blue Origin is hiring a rover autonomy lead to advance onboard perception and autonomous navigation for lunar rovers. You will map terrain, avoid hazards in real time, and drive the project from concept through field testing and flight operations.

The role requires 10+ years of embedded software experience, strong C/C++, and a spaceflight avionics background, with collaboration across science and engineering teams to deliver robust autonomous systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• More than 10 years of hands-on software development for embedded platforms.
• Proficient in C/C++ baremetal development and spaceflight avionics background.
• Experience with testing frameworks and writing sensor drivers.

Responsabilités

• Lead coding, testing and validation of vehicle control software.
• Manage software field deployments, on-site and remote support to customers.
• Derive and own software system requirements and schedules with stakeholders.
• Identify improvements to system design with a focus on robust autonomy.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and management to drive new product development from concept to production.
