Job summary

Serco is seeking an experienced RAS Instructor and Technician to support a high-profile U.S. Navy role at NIWC Pacific in San Diego, CA. You will train and maintain remotely operated vehicles, focusing on underwater systems and ROVs, while coordinating with NIWC PAC personnel.

Applicants must obtain a DoD Secret Clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and can travel up to 25%. Prior instructional or EOD/diver experience is a plus, with strong mechanical and diagnostic aptitude for marine robotics.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 2-year technical degree in a related discipline.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma with 2 years DoD/USN experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with unmanned underwater systems and robotics.
• Prior instruction or trainer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare training material and conduct classroom and hands-on ROV training.
• Instruct and support students during ROV training sessions.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on VideoRay Defender and other ROVs.
• Document malfunctions using designated databases and report issues.
• Provide logistics, equipment support, and training duties as needed by NIWC PAC.
• Travel up to 25% and work both independently and in teams.
