Qualifications

• Experience with path planning, graph search, motion planning or related optimization problems.
• Experience operating low-latency, high-availability production services.
• Strong ownership mindset with drive to push projects end-to-end.
• Ability to work on ambiguous, high-visibility problems and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Solid backend or distributed systems fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design safe and efficient flight paths that guide Zipline aircraft through complex, real-time airspace.
• Build optimization algorithms to compute global routes for autonomous delivery at scale.
• Account for weather, airspace restrictions, vehicle performance, and dynamic demand.
• Collaborate with autonomy and flight operations teams to power flight operations.
