Sightline Commercial Solutions is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to program and maintain production equipment from blueprints and specifications. You will interpret drawings, set up machines, and ensure safe manufacturing practices using CAD/CAM tools.

Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the programming and maintenance of computer numeric controlled productionequipment
• Operates one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment
• Selects appropriate settings and adjusts as necessary
• Knowledge of various types of wood and machine procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques
• Studies blueprints sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, Inventor, and MasherCAM for programming.
• Ability to identify various raw materials, various types of wood and outsourced parts
• Maintains a safe and well-organized working environment, following all safety procedures as outlined in safety manual

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least one year of machining experience
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and other specifications
• Ability to read and accurately use measuring tools such as a tape measure, caliper or protractor

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Lean manufacturing experience
• Experience using an ERP system

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Stand for up to 10 hours at a time
• Lift up to 75 pounds unassisted
• Ability to flip 4x8 plywood boards on a regular basis
