Red Stag Logistics is seeking a dependable Route Supervisor to oversee daily milk-hauling operations on the Oklahoma Lane. This leadership role focuses on safety, efficiency, and adherence to company standards, serving as a field resource for drivers and supporting dispatch.
You will coach drivers, train new hires, ensure proper loading at barns, coordinate with Dispatch and Fleet Management, and help improve route performance while maintaining strong customer service and regulatory compliance.
Red Stag Logistics is seeking a dependable and experienced Route Supervisorto oversee daily operations for our Oklahoma Lane. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring that milk-hauling procedures are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
The Route Supervisor serves as a field resource for drivers, supports dispatch operations, helps train new hires, and ensures proper loading procedures are followed at all assigned barns.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure proper milk loading procedures are consistently followed at all barns and customer locations.
Monitor route operations and address drivers who are not following established procedures or safety expectations.
Work with National Operations Management to resolve operational issues and maintain process compliance.
Report tank, trailer, and equipment issues promptly and coordinate with Dispatch and Fleet Management for repairs.
Maintain professional communication with drivers, dispatch, fleet teams, and management.
Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers needing support with milk loading procedures or route-related issues.
Provide coaching and guidance to drivers on completing assigned dispatch tasks safely and efficiently.
Train new hires on company procedures, loading expectations, and safety standards, or assign qualified trainers when needed.
Assist Dispatch in coordinating preloads and improving route efficiency.
Support overall lane performance, operational consistency, and customer service standards.
Driving Responsibilities
Load milk products onto trailers using proper equipment and techniques.
Safely transport dairy bulk to processing plants for live unloading.
Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in compliance with safety regulations.
Communicate with dispatch to plan routes and report any delays or issues.
Inspect and maintain trucks and equipment daily.
Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records.
Provide exceptional customer service to processing plants and stakeholders.
Adhere to all federal and state transportation and dairy production regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Compensation
A blend of Salary and Driver Pay according to the Oklahoma Pay structure
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)with tanker endorsement
Minimum age of 23 years old
Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
Minimum 1 year of liquid tanker hauling experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a Milk Handler Certification
Current DOT Medical Cardand ability to maintain insurability
Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of milk loading procedures and hauling operations preferred
Leadership experience or the ability to mentor, train, and coach drivers
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices)and Hours of Service requirements
Basic computer and technology skills, including phone, email, and dispatch systems
Strong navigation skills and ability to manage route-related challenges
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced operational environments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Physical Requirements
Ability to drop and hook trailers
Ability to climb ladders to inspect trailer seals
Ability to bend, stoop, pull, climb, kneel, crouch, squat, and reach overhead
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
Schedule Requirements
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on operational needs
