Job summary

G1 Climbing + Fitness in Broomfield, CO is seeking an experienced Route Setter to join our team. You will create engaging, safe climbing routes and boulder problems, collaborating with the routesetting department under the Head Route Setter.

The role requires a minimum of one year in commercial routesetting, experience with both bouldering and roped routes, and the ability to set for a wide range of abilities. USA Climbing certification or competition setting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of commercial routesetting experience.
• Experience setting in both bouldering and roped climbing environments.
• Ability to set and forerun approximately V5 and 5.12 difficulty.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Set creative, high-quality routes and boulder problems across grades and terrain as directed by Head Route Setter.
• Participate in forerunning, grading, and refining routes for appropriate difficulty, quality, and accessibility.
• Give and receive constructive feedback and collaborate with other setters to improve the finished product.
• Strip, wash, sort, and organize holds and volumes; maintain clean work areas.
