Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Driver, Route Service - GR to deliver and service equipment at job sites and events, including refueling diesel light towers. You will train technicians, set daily safety priorities, and coordinate with dispatch for timely orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of truck driving experience preferred (CDL license not required), and DOT medical card must be obtained prior to commencing employment.
• A valid driver's license.
• Safe driving record and acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR).
• Must be able to operate a vehicle safely following all traffic laws and signs.
• Effective communication, organization, and planning skills.
• Work well with Manager and team members.
• Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision or instruction.
• Multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct training to newly hired Service Technician III and/or experienced Service Technicians in areas of need.
• Conduct daily tailgate meetings with attention to daily safety priorities.
• Participate in creating schedules for Service Technician III.
• Work closely with departments and managers to address and repair issues with company assets/equipment.
• Work closely with Dispatch to determine the equipment's order priority and accurately complete delivery/return logs.
• Deliver, retrieve, and move equipment (light towers, shower trailers, cooling trailers, guard shacks, generators, trash trailers, etc.).
• Fuel equipment on location as necessary.
• Follow prescribed safety procedures and comply with federal laws.
• Communicate with the dispatcher on the status of job orders.
• Promote available company services and products.
• Promote clean and safe working conditions.
