Primary Purpose

The Service Technician operates a company service truck and drives to various locations to service/pump/clean portable restrooms and/or holding tanks. This position is the heart of our business.

Essential Functions

1. Perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with USS and DOT requirements.
2. Perform all work duties in a safe manner in accordance with USS and DOT safety standards to ensure no accidents or injuries.
3. Perform duties by sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. In addition, perform lifting/pushing between 50 and 150 lbs. on a frequent basis during work shift.
4. Conduct portable toilets servicing to USS 8 point service standard.
5. Perform customer service interaction when on customer work sites to ensure they are getting the services completed to their standard.
6. Ability to be flexible in order to meet customer needs when routes needs to be adjusted or changed.
7. Provide routing feedback to Operations Manager/Supervisor/Coordinator to be most efficient as well as giving the customer the best service possible.
8. Ability to strategically plan for customer needs by discussing their portable toilet needs, so the customer's current and future needs are satisfied.

Qualifications

1. Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
2. Valid Driver License (CDL or non-commercial).
3. Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills.
4. Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.

Physical Requirements

1. Sit while driving and stand while servicing products
2. Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls
3. Repeat the same movements
4. See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance
5. Speak clearly so customers can understand
6. Understand the speech of another person
7. Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them
8. Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion
9. Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling
10. Lift up to 40lbs from your waist to your shoulders
11. Lift 30lbs from the floor to your head
12. Crouch and squat
13. Push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.

Salary Range

$19.49 – $26.32 / hour
