Job summary

Interstate Batteries of Central Kansas in Wichita seeks a Route Service Representative to deliver batteries, service routes, and build strong dealer relationships. You will load/unload, handle payments, and ensure displays and data are up to date while maintaining safety standards.

The role emphasizes daily documentation, invoicing for warranty items, and excellent customer service. Mon–Fri schedule with PTO, health/dental, 401(k) match, and uniforms provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess current DOT Medical Certification.
• CDL not required; clean driving record.
• Prior driving and customer service experience is highly desirable; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver batteries and service each deal on your route promptly.
• Establish, build, and maintain dealer relationships.
• Complete documentation daily.
• Maintain routes by keeping displays clean and information up to date.
• Correctly invoice all units that fail to last warranty period.
• Rotate batteries to maintain quality product and set service standards.
• Collect and handle payments.
• Load and unload truck daily.
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies.

We are currently looking for a qualified Route Service Representative for this location. As an integral part of our Interstate Battery distributorship, the Route Sale Representative is driven by purpose and results. He or she will act every day to make a positive contribution to the business, the customers, the community, and his or her team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver batteries and provide service to each deal on your route in a timely manner
• Establish, build, and maintain good dealer relationships
• Complete documentation daily
• Maintain routes by keeping displays clean and information up to date
• Correctly invoice all units that fail to last warranty period
• Rotate batteries to maintain quality product and set service standards
• Collect and handle payments
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries
• Load and unload truck daily
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies
• CDL Not Required

What you will bring:
