Overview

The Route Sales Support (RSS) Driver builds solid, positive working relationships with customers and is highly motivated to exceed their expectations and requirements. Vestis operates in a very competitive environment, and a successful Route Sales Support Driver must be able to balance exceptional customer service with meeting and exceeding individual sales growth goals. Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Safely operate a company step van in designated area to provide products and service to a variety of clients.
• Verify daily preventative maintenance of vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation.
• Manage daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.
• Load/unload product per company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Review invoices daily for complete and accurate information and make corrections as needed.
• Meet sales goals and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
• Develop leads/prospects, call on prospective customers to solicit business, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts.
• Assist the sales organization with the procurement of additional new business.
• Possess a strong understanding of services, policies, and pricing methods and communicate these clearly to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues promptly and courteously.
• Take responsibility for personal safety and watch out for the safety of others.
• Use safe precautions, proper tools, and equipment, and adhere to all safe work practices and policies.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of activities above.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and an excellent driving record.
• Customer service experience with wide variety of customer contact.
• Strong math and basic computer skills.
• Experience selling services/products and generating new business preferred.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and quickly solve customer concerns.

Working Environment/Safety/Physical Requirements

• Exposure to adverse weather conditions, including extreme hot/cold temperatures based on location.
• Fast-paced environment with irregular and long hours sometimes.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 25 lbs routinely, load/unload from truck without assistance, and occasionally lift 50+ lbs.
• Requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
