Job summary

CHICAGO BAKING COMPANY is looking for a Route Sales Representative in Normal, IL. This role involves managing route operations, communicating with customers, and ensuring product distribution meets contract standards.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in DSD operations is a plus, along with a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Morning and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills helpful.
• Previous DSD operation or route sales experience desired.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Must have ability to drive a standard truck (Class C license).
• Must follow all DOT regulations and pass a DOT physical.
• Able to work early mornings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for route operational activity, including ordering and distribution.
• Communicate with customers to assist them in understanding promotional activity.
• Ensure product distribution is accomplished to customer satisfaction.
• Assist customer relations by selling new products and securing space gains.
• Represent CBC as a leader in the baking business.
