Job summary

Schwan's Company is seeking a CDL Class B driver in Leesport, PA to ensure timely delivery of our popular brands, unload and merchandize, and build store relationships. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday with occasional weekend travel and early starts.

You will use handheld tech to place orders, maintain display space, and promote new products while adhering to DOT rules and safety standards. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous DSD, grocery, delivery, or warehouse experience.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to pass background checks.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and operate required equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide route coverage while delivering product.
• Unload products, place product in back room, and collect proof of delivery.
• Place orders and drive additional sales by promoting products.
• Merchandise product, maintain display space, and rotate product.
• Use handheld technology and sales software to complete daily work.
• Build in-store relationships and work with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain DOT rules and perform truck inspections.

What You Will Do

In this CDL Class B position, you provide route coverage while delivering product, placing orders, and merchandising product to ensure our products are available on store shelves for grocery shoppers. In addition, this position provides opportunities to develop the leadership skills needed for leadership positions.

• Work a Monday -- Friday schedule (some weekend travel required at times); early morning start time
• Unload products, place product in the back room, and collect proof of delivery

• Merchandise product, maintain display space, and rotate product
• Use handheld technology and sales software to complete daily work

What We Look For

• Previous DSD, grocery, delivery, or warehouse experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement and ability to meet medical certification requirements; must be 21 years or older
• Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen products using appropriate equipment
• Ability to meet pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical requirements
