Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Elgin, IL is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver to train on operating a Class B box truck and provide onsite service for parts washer machines. You will also pick up containerized hazardous waste and sell products/services on a defined route.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Background check, drug test, and physical may be required by position.
• Facial hair standards for respirator use per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize Health and Safety as the top responsibility and follow safe work practices.
• Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field.
• Service automotive repair facilities, fleets, and manufacturing sites.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups on time.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations and rules.
• Operate vehicles in accordance with DOT and other requirements.
• Follow EH&S guidelines and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
