Job summary

CJ Schwan’s in Montgomery, AL is seeking a route merchandiser to ensure our products are on store shelves for grocery customers. You will place orders, merchandise, build displays, and promote new items to drive sales.

The role operates Monday–Friday with occasional weekends, requires using your own vehicle, and offers a benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance and a company match 401(k).

Qualifications

• Grocery experience preferred but not required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen product.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Place orders and merchandise product to ensure shelves.
• Drive promotions by displaying new products and gaining display space.
• Maintain displays and rotate product.
• Use handheld tech and sales software to complete daily tasks.
• Build in-store relationships and work with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize your personal vehicle for daily route.

• Compensation is a combination of base pay plus commission

What You Will Do

In this position, you will place orders and merchandise product to ensure our products are available on store shelves for grocery shoppers.

• Place orders and drive additional sales by gaining display space and promoting new products
• Merchandise product, maintain display space, and rotate product
• Use handheld technology and sales software to complete daily work
• Build in-store relationships and work effectively with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
• Utilize your personal vehicle for daily route

What We Look For

• Grocery experience (preferred but not required)
