Job summary

Schwan's Company is hiring a Route Sales Merchandiser in Texas to ensure products are available on store shelves. You will place orders, promote new items, and drive display space to boost sales.

You’ll merchandise, rotate products, and use handheld devices to complete daily tasks while building strong in-store relationships on a Monday–Friday route with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in retail sales or merchandising preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems and smartphone use.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Compensation is a combination of base pay plus commission

What You Will Do

What We Look For

• Grocery experience (preferred but not required)
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and 18 years or older
• Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen product using appropriate equipment
• Ability to meet pre-employment background check and drug test requirements

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Years of Related Experience: One or more years of related experience, such as retail sales or merchandising, preferably in a consumer service and/or sales environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with store personnel and customers.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer and smart phone proficiencyWillingness to travel as needed.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must possess a mobile device with voice and text capabilities.
• Must be willing and able to work weekends and early morning hours as needed.
• Ability to operate and maintain company equipment including handhelds, computers, etc.
• Basic math and language skills and effective oral and written communication skills.
• In certain geographical locations, second languages may be preferred.
