Job summary

Qualifications

  • Pass DOT Physical and Drug Screen.

  • Able to push/pull/drag up to 240 pounds.
  • Able to read and write English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver products on assigned routes and sell to customers.
  • Collect payments and record transactions.
  • Prepare order forms and sales contracts.
  • Inform customers about new products and services.
  • Resolve customer service issues and complaints.
  • Load and unload product and perform routine truck maintenance.
  • Keep truck interior clean and set up promotional displays.
  • Drive safely, courteously, and efficiently.

Position Overview

The Route Sales Driver shall be responsible for, but not limited to:

Drives truck over various routes to deliver and sell products or render services of the dairy industry to customer’s place of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting money from customers, making change, and recording transactions on the customer receipt.
  • Recording sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record.
  • Calling prospective customers to solicit new business.
  • Preparing order forms and sales contracts.
  • Informing regular customers of new products or services.
  • Listening to and resolving service complaints.
  • Performing routine maintenance on truck.
  • Keeping inside of truck clean.
  • Loading and unloading product.
  • Issuing sales promotion materials to customers.
  • Placing stock on shelves or racks.
  • Setting up merchandise and sales promotion displays.
  • Collecting or picking up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
  • Working in a safe courteous manner.
  • Driving in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner.
Required Qualifications
  • 21 years of age.
  • Pass D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen.

  • Will have to stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually.
