An established industry player is looking for a self-motivated Route Relief Delivery & Warehouse Associate to assist the sales team during a temporary leave. This hybrid role involves providing excellent customer service while delivering coffee and related products, performing warehouse duties, and ensuring inventory accuracy. The position offers a chance for long-term employment and requires local driving with a company vehicle. This position is for a temporary time period, assisting the sales team in all areas of route relief and warehouse duties, due to an employee's leave of absence. There is a possibility of long-term employment if the employee on leave does not return to work.
The Route Relief Delivery & Warehouse Associate, also known as a Route Sales Associate (RSA), is a hybrid role which provides route relief and maintenance to customer accounts in the Valley, surrounding areas, and other branch locations as needed. They perform warehouse duties such as inventory cycle counts, picking orders, and loading trucks (forklift certification provided). When on a route, the RSA provides excellent customer service by ensuring customers are in-stock, serviced as scheduled, and that the beverage station is set to standard. Duties include selling and delivering coffee, tea, and related products to customers. The hiring team is seeking a self-motivated, dependable individual to join their team who is willing and able to do overnight travel and assist other branches as needed.
Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Overtime when needed.
Local driving required with company-provided vehicle; overnight travel required for training and coverage needs at other branches.
Driving Requirements: Valid Drivers License required with clean driving record. Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical and drug test.
• Provides route relief and maintenance, including vacation coverage and open route coverage, for assigned branch locations.
• Route coverage may require travel to branch locations within territory.
• Deliver, replenish, and rotate beverage station products on each call when assigned to a route.
• Ensure equipment is clean and in working order, executing a minimum of one CQC (Cup Quality Check) per day.
• Responsible for escalating customer issues quickly to the Area Route Manager (ARM) and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Ensure customers receive delivery and service as required.
• Manage invoices, inventory, and collections daily when on a route.
• Responsible for increasing Revenue per Stop through identifying and closing distribution voids on core products, executing seasonal and LTO promotions, executing pricing actions and ensuring the beverage station is set to standard when assigned to a route.
• Notify ARM of any inefficiencies, customer dissatisfaction or opportunities found while running route relief.
• Assist ARM on customer related matters as assigned.
• Become familiar with brewing equipment and learn to make basic repairs or adjustments.
• Consistently execute the Farmer Brothers customer “The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell“ to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Performs other duties as assigned including assisting in accounts receivable collections and customer service activities.
• Performs warehouse duties.
$23.09/hour starting wage per Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), going up to $24.58/hour after 6 months. When covering a route, the RSA makes route relief pay per the CBA, which is $27.59/hour.
