Job summary

Airgas in San Francisco, CA is hiring a Distribution Supervisor to lead daily route planning, driver coaching, and order processing. You will partner with the Branch Manager to ensure safe, on-time delivery and efficient logistics.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in dispatch/leadership, familiarity with FMCSA/DOT rules, and experience with Google Suite and SAP. We offer a strong benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent with 2–3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–3 years in dispatch operations and direct supervisory/leadership roles.
• Ability to read and interpret critical documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Dynamic Dispatch & Routing: pull daily customer orders and build efficient, cost-effective delivery routes with load sheets for warehouse teams.
• Safety & Compliance Leadership: drive DOT documentation, lead driver ride-alongs, enforce defensive driving standards to maintain a zero-preventable-accident workplace.
• Driver Coaching & Support: act as the first line of operational support for delivery drivers, resolve route challenges and foster teamwork.
• Order & Inventory Tracking: process order tickets, manage asset tracking (cylinder tracking), and handle special delivery requests.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: partner with warehouse, production, and leadership to streamline order fulfillment and delivery efficiency.
