Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Route Supervisor to lead a team of Route Service Managers and drivers, driving service growth across a set of routes. You will train staff, monitor performance, and collaborate with the Market General Manager to achieve goals.

Responsibilities include reporting, fleet upkeep, and coaching drivers to improve service quality. A valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years sales, customer service and delivery experience.
• Ability to read, write and compute basic math.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle or forklift.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, routing and distribution methods.
• Familiarity with computer systems or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train and develop Route Service Managers and drivers.
• Collaborate with Market General Manager to set goals and ensure targets.
• Generate and distribute daily/weekly reports for drivers.
• Train drivers on policies and procedures including paperwork.
• Maintain knowledge of financial results and driver impact.
• Ensure DOT/safety compliance for drivers.
• Oversee vehicle fleet maintenance and servicing.
• Engage with dealers for feedback on service quality.
• Support route coverage and on-time delivery.
