Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a friendly, hard-working Route Floater for a full-time position in Akron, OH. The role runs Monday through Friday with a 5am start, supporting multiple client locations with timely food and product deliveries.

Responsibilities include loading transport vehicles, delivering to accounts, inventory control, and maintaining equipment and vehicle condition. A valid license (CDL not required) and ability to lift 50 lb are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL not required and driving record must be good.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and AVI team members.

Responsibilities

• Load company vehicle with products for service locations.
• Drive to client locations to transport products and food.
• Fill in for Service Routes or Delivery Routes as needed.
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested.
• Stock shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers.
• Ensure refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and accounts.
• Oversee merchandise ordering and inventory control.
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise and money from machines.
• Maintain positive customer interactions with eye contact and smiles.
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts.
• Care for the company vehicle.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Fill in for Service Routes or Delivery Routes as needed
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
