Job summary

Warehouse Direct, Inc. is seeking dependable Route Drivers to deliver office furniture and supplies across the Chicagoland area. You will load and unload, verify orders, collect signatures, and maintain safe driving practices while representing a customer-focused team.

Starting pay is $21–$23 per hour with opportunities based on experience and skills. This full-time role offers a regular Monday–Friday schedule and home every night.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Previous route delivery or commercial driving experience.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move products during the day.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company box truck throughout Chicagoland.
• Load and unload products and ensure safe delivery.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to deliver on time.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Verify orders, obtain customer signatures, and complete delivery documents.
• Provide friendly, professional service and build customer relationships.
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers to resolve issues.

As a Route Driver, you'll be an important part of the Warehouse Direct team — getting the products our customers depend on into their hands safely, accurately, and on time. You'll deliver everything from office furniture and supplies to janitorial and breakroom essentials throughout the Chicagoland area while building relationships with the customers you see every day.

What You'll Do

Drive with Purpose: Safely operate a company box truck and deliver products throughout the Chicagoland area.

Deliver with Care: Load and unload products and make sure every delivery arrives safely and in excellent condition.

Stay on Track: Follow assigned routes and schedules while keeping deliveries efficient, accurate, and on time.

Put Safety First: Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance concerns.

Get the Details Right: Verify orders, obtain customer signatures, and accurately complete delivery documentation.

Be the Face of Warehouse Direct: Provide friendly, professional service and create a positive experience with every customer.

Stay Connected: Communicate with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers to keep deliveries running smoothly and quickly resolve any issues.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
