Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Eugene, OR is seeking a Route Driver to train for Class B box truck routes servicing parts washer machines, collecting waste containers, and selling products on site. Starting pay is $25.00-$28.00 hourly DOE with 8–12 hour days, uncapped commission, and on-the-job CDL training. Benefits after 30 days, opportunities for growth, and travel to customer sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle customers.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements and pass background/drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class B box truck on defined route and provide onsite service for parts washer machines.
• Move/arrange containers and drums using hand carts, pallet jacks and drum dollies.
• Upsell products/services at customer locations and generate new leads in the field.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups in a timely manner.
• Follow all DOT, state and local safety regulations and maintain safe driving practices.

Safety-Kleen in Eugene, OR is seeking a Route Driver. This role will train to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services in a defined route. Safety-Kleen will pay for you to obtain your CDL.

• May visit 6-10 customer sites per day
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions
• Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks
• Up-sell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
• Basic computer and math skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills
• Commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL)
