We are hiring immediately for full‑time Route Driver – Micromarket positions at Canteen located at 180 Kerry Place, Norwood, MA 02062. Online applications only.

Job Summary

The Route Driver drives a company vehicle on an established route to deliver products and maintain micromarkets. The driver represents Canteen, projects a professional image, and builds positive client relationships. This role provides advancement opportunities into entry‑level management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for micromarkets.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in all aspects of job performance.
• Understand and administer company policies as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of micromarkets and related equipment.
• Conduct minor service and adjustments on markets; report defective equipment to maintenance.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly loaded each morning in accordance with operational procedures.
• Inform clients of new products or services, listen to and resolve complaints.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue promotion materials.
• Accountable for receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, and cash collection.
• Conduct inventory reconciliation per district procedures.
• Keep the vehicle clean and perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
• Perform all job functions safely and professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3 years driving experience required.
• Preferred 1–2 years in a customer service position or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Valid non‑CDL Class C driver’s license (unless otherwise specified).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently.
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.).
• Capable of working independently; responsible for the route for 98 % of the day.

Compensation and Benefits

• Fixed pay rate of $21.00 per hour.
