Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Duluth, MN is seeking a Driver, Helper Non Formula to support our delivery operations. You will assist Drivers in loading, unloading, and delivering products, and you’ll interact with customers professionally to ensure accurate, on-time service on intrastate routes.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 6–12 months of warehouse or customer-facing experience, the ability to lift up to 90 lbs, and the flexibility to work in multi-temperature environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 6 - 12 months experience in warehouse environment or customer-facing roles.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime as needed.
• Able to lift 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in cooler, freezer and dry environments.
• Pass post offer drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Driver in safe and accurate delivery of products to customers.
• Loads and unloads truck and company vehicles.
• Places products in areas identified by customers.

Job Description

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers! As a Driver, Helper Non Formula, you will assist the Driver in every aspect of the product delivery to our customers.

The Driver, Helper Non Formula rides with and assist Drivers in the tractor trailer, tandem trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading various products in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Compensation

$22.50/hour

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Assists the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 6 - 12 months experience in warehouse environment and interfacing with customers
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves/pallets, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
