Job summary

All Temp Transport, Inc. is seeking an experienced Route Driver to operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer, delivering to convenience store locations from New Haven, Indiana. You will unload, secure cargo, and ensure timely, safe deliveries while complying with DOT regulations.

Disptach times vary with routes, typically 3 am–6 am. The four-day work week runs Tuesday to Friday with home every night. Competitive pay up to $30/hour based on experience, plus benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate travel.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Class A CDL Required.

Responsibilities

• Unload truck and secure cargo for transit.
• Deliver orders to designated locations and place products as requested by customers.
• Record deliveries on the Delivery Manifest and daily logs.
• Maintain required daily truck logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and report any issues.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Interact professionally with customers and represent the company well.
• Occasionally backhaul products from suppliers to the warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About Us:

We are a candy, tobacco and grocery distributor who values our Employees and Customers. Our Drivers serve an important role in serving the Convenience Store distribution chain.

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Route Drivers to join our distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to various convenience store locations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our great customers receive their orders on time and in excellent condition.

Specific Duties:

• Unloads truck. Position blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
• Deliver customer orders to designated locations and place products in customer-specified areas.
• Occasionally collect customer payments and accurately record transactions on the Delivery Manifest.
• Record delivery details on the daily Delivery Manifests.
• Maintain required daily truck logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Unload truck at the end of each shift and place customer returns in the appropriate warehouse area.
• Clean the truck interior and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and fluids.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Serve as a representative of the customer service department by demonstrating professionalism and courtesy when interacting with customers.
• Occasionally pick up backhauled products from suppliers and deliver them to the McConnell warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

• Start and end times are determined by the Transportation Manager based on operational and business needs. Employees may be required to work varying schedules

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to read basic two- and three-syllable words, recognize differences between words and number sequences, and communicate using simple written and spoken sentences.
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using tens and hundreds, as well as calculations involving U.S. currency, weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and handle routine, standardized situations.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and clients.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate travel.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass D.O.T. Physical, Drug Screen and Background Check.
• Class A CDL Required
